General Appearance

Eremobium aegyptiacum (Spreng.) Asch. ex Boiss. / Infraspecifics: Eremobium aegyptiacum ssp. longisiliquum (Coss.) Maire // Homotypic Synonyms:  Eremobium longisiliquum (Coss.) Boiss, it is a shrubby and sometimes woody at base, up to 30 cm or more long, ascending or spreading, branched, stellately pubescent. Leaves small, obovate-oblong to linear-oblong, sessile or sub sessile, up to 20 x 5 mm, entire, obtuse or rounded at the apices. Flowers c. 6 mm across, mostly white, sometimes pink or violaceous. Pedicels up to 4 mm long, ascending. Sepals 3-4 mm long, erect. Petal  6-8 x 1-1.2 mm. Stamens 3-4: 4-5 mm; anthers c. 1 mm long, sagittate. Siliquae 30-40 x 1-1.2 mm, linear, torulose, ± acute at the apex, stellately pubescent. Seeds 1-senate, 15-20 in each locule, c. 1.5 mm long.
