General Appearance

Eremophyton chevallieri (Barratte) Bég., it is an annual herb, glabrous, glaucous, branched above, up to 15-60 cm tall. Racemes lax, 2O-40-flowered. Flowers 1 cm across, purplish. violet-veined. Pedicels up to 4 mm long in fruit, ascending, not thickened. Sepals 4~5 mm long. Petals 8-10 mm long. Stamens c. 4.5: 5.5 mm long; anthers c. 1.5 mm long. Siliquae 6-12 x 3 mm. ± cylindrical with c. 6 ridges and furrows, glabrous. Seed c. 2 mm long, brownish, oblong-ovoid.
