General Appearance

Conringia orientalis (L.) C.Presl, (Conringia orientalis (L.) Andrz. ex DC., Conringia orientalis (L.) Dumort) it is an annual herb.  Stem is up to 80 cm tall, straight, simple or sparsely branched. Basal leaves are obovate, with a short petiole. Upper leaves are elliptic to obovate, sessile, embracing. All leaves are entire, somewhat fleshy. Inflorescences are up to 25-flowered, initially short, later elongated. Flowers yellowish, more rarely greenish white or pinkish. Siliquae 60-90 (120) x 2.3 mm; beak 1-2.5 mm long, thickened with capitate stigma; valves 1-veined. Seeds 2-2.5 mm long, dark brown.
