General Appearance
Clypeola jonthlaspi L it is an annual herb. Stems up to 5-15 cm, slender, ascending or spreading, simple or branched. Leaves oblanceolate-linear to oblong-obovate, up to 20 x 1.5-4 mm, entire. Flowers c. 1.5 mm across, yellowish. Pedicels up to 4 mm long in fruit, filiform, recurved. Sepals c. 1.5 mm long. Petals 1-2 mm long, with sub emarginate apex. Stamens 1-1.5 mm, filaments denticulate. Fruiting raceme usually short or slightly elongated, dense, with pedicels arching outwards. Silicles relatively quite large (about 4 mm in diameter), orbicular, flat-compressed, pubescent, rarely glabrous. Seed occupying barely a quarter of the locule.
