Hirschfeldia incana (L.) Lagr. -Foss.
General Appearance
Hirschfeldia incana (L.) Lagr. -Foss., it is an annual or biennial herb, ± hispid at base with simple sub retrorse hairs, up 10 90 cm tall. Basal leaves rosulate, withering soon, lyrate, petiolate; lateral lobes 2-5 pairs, terminal ovate, denticulate. Upper leaves ± sessile, linear, entire or sub entire. Flowers c. 5 mm across, pale yellow with dark veins. Pedicels hardly increasing in fruit, thickened, appressed, up to 3 (-4) mm long. Sepals 4-5 mm long. Petals 6-9 mm long. Stamens c. 4-5 mm; anthers c. 1.2 mm. Siliquae (8-) 10-17 x 1-1.5 mm, cylindrical, obscurely veined when mature, glabrous or with few scattered hairs, dehiscent, 6-9-seeded, beak 3-6 mm long. usually swollen at the base, ± caducous 0-1 (-2)-seeded. Seeds ovoid or ovoid-oolong, reddish brown.
