General Appearance
Crassula vaillantii (Willd.) Roth, it is an annual or biennial herb, green or reddish and glabrous. Stems 2-12 cm, simple or branching, erect or prostrate, with long internodes. Leaves not crowded, opposite small, 2.5 mm long, linear-oblong, obtuse, plane, briefly connate at the base. Flowers usually solitary or in irregular cymes in the leaf axils, with pedicels 4-6 mm long, small, 4-merous. Sepals 4, greenish, ovate; obtuse, 0.9 x 1.1 mm. Petals 4, pink, ovate, exceeding the sepals. Stamens 4, longer than the sepals and shorter than the petals; nectariferous hypogynous scales linear, alternating with stamens. Follicles usually 6-8 seeded; seeds oblong-ovoid, dark brown.
