General Appearance
Convolvulus siculus L., it is an annual herb. Stems simple or branched, ascending, prostrate or somewhat erect, up to 60 cm tall, pilose with brownish hairs. Leaf-blade oblong-lanceolate, up to 5 cm long and 2 cm wide, acute or acuminate at the apex, cuneate or truncate at the base, sparingly pilose; petiole about 1 cm long. Inflorescence 1-3-flowered; peduncle up to 2.5 cm long; bracts long and elliptic or small and linear; pedicels about 6-10 mm long. Sepals ovate-lanceolate, 5-6 mm long, 1.5-2 mm wide, acute, pilose. Corolla white tinged bluish-lilac, about 6 mm long. Capsule about 6 mm in diameter. Seeds black, roughened, about 2 mm long.
