Cleome paradoxa R.Br. ex DC., it is a tall shrubby, erect, annual to perennating herbs, up to 40-200 cm tall, glabrescent with (1-) 3-5-folinlate, long petioled bluish-green leaves; leaflets 5-10 cm long, narrowly lanceolate to linear, acute. Flowers 3-4 cm, across, bracteate, lemon-yellow with red veins. Petals 2 x 1-1.5 cm. Capsules 10-12 cm long, linear, many seeded.

Wild plant. I have not yet found a recent record of this species in Libya.
