Arabis nova Vill., it is an annual, up to 10-30 cm tall, erect or sub erect, simple herb with a ± zigzag stem above; pubescent with short, branched or stellate hairs, sometimes glabrous above. Basal leaves few, spathulate or oblong-obovate, (5-) 10-30 x (2-) 5-20 mm, bluntly toothed to sub entire, ± stalked. Cauline leaves few, distant, ovate or ovate-oblong, 5-20 x 2-15 mm, toothed to almost entire, ± auricled at base, amplexicaul, acute, basal lobes obtuse. Racemes 5-10-flowered, lax, up to 10 cm long in fruit. Flowers 3-4 mm across, white. Pedicels up to 5(-7) mm long in fruit, often thickened (c. as thick as the fruit). Sepals 1.5-2 mm long. Petals 3-4.5 x c. 1 mm. Stamens c. 2-2.5 mm long. Siliquae 20-30 (-45) x 1-1.5 mm, often straight and spreading, usually ± minutely pubescent, rarely glabrous, acute with ± obscure style and minute, depressed stigma. Seeds 10-20 in each locale, 1-1.5 mm long, narrowly winged.
