General Appearance
Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Heynh., it is a small annual, erect herb, up to 5-20 (-30) cm tall. simple or slightly branched from below, sparsely pubescent. Basal leaves obovate-oblong, 15-50 x 5-10 mm, sub sessile, entire to distinctly toothed. Upper leaves distant, short, oblong to linear, cuneate, sessile. Racemes 10-30-flowered, lax in fruit, up to 20 cm long. Flowers 2-3 mm across, white or pale pinkish. Pedicels up to 15 mm long in fruit, filiform, ascending or sub spreading. Sepals 1.5-2 mm long. Petals 3-4 x 1 mm. Stamens (4-) 6, outer 2 sometimes suppressed, c. 1.5- 2.5 mm long. Stigma sub sessile, style c, 0.5 mm long. Siliquae 10-18 x 1 mm, usually up curved, glabrous. Seeds 20-30 in each locule, c. 0.5 mm.
