General Appearance

Valerianella stephanodon Coss. & Durieu , it is an annual herb, the fruits of this species are c. 3-4 mm long (excl. calyx lobe), linear, c. 2.5-3 times longer than wide, the sterile locules arc without any spongy, thick tissue, separated by a long, narrow ridge; the calyx is shortly coronate with one oblique, c. 1-2 mm long. narrow lobe.
