General Appearance

Lonicera etrusca Santi, it is a shrub, woody twiner; young branches glabrous or glandular pubescent. Leaves sessile, ovate, elliptic, obovate to sub rotund, 2-7 x 1-4 cm, glabrous to glandular pubescent, entire, obtuse, base cuneate to cordate, upper pairs connate. Inflorescence a terminal head, 4-10-flowered, flowers bright buff yellow. Peduncle 2-4 cm. Bract c. 1.5-2.0 mm long. Calyx-teeth less than a mm long, topping the ovary. Corolla 3.5-4.5 cm long, glabrous or glandular-pubescent. Berries c. 6 mm in diameter, red.
