Euphorbia sulcata Lens ex Loisel., it is an annual, very small up to 10 cm; glabrous, with stems that are erect or prostrate, simple or branched into lateral flowering shoots. It contains the genus’s characteristic white latex. Leaves alternate, linear or elliptic, sessile, with entire margins; stem leaves generally truncate at the apex. Flowers in cymose inflorescences of the pleiochasium type with 2–5 branches. Linear-lanceolate bracts with a broader base. Very small terminal cyathium (1–3 mm) with reddish, two-horned nectar glands bearing two acute appendages. Unisexual flowers: a central female flower and several lateral male flowers reduced to a single stamen. Female flower with a superior gynoecium and trilocular ovary; pistil with three bifid stigmatic arms. Fruit a 1–2 mm, furrowed, three-celled (tricoccous) capsule; ovoid and smooth or nearly smooth. Seeds longitudinally furrowed, with a terminal caruncle.
