General Appearance

Alyssum montanum L., it is a perennial herb, up to 10-30 cm tall, usually somewhat woody below, densely whitish hairy, ± similar to the (Alyssum alyssoides (L.) L. / Heterotypic Synonyms: Alyssum minus  Rothm.) but pedicels somewhat longer (than the siliculae) and horizontally spreading (up to 10 mm long in fruits), siliculae smaller and heterotrichous with weak hairs. Sepals (2.5-) 3-5 (-7) mm long. Petals (4-) 5-8 (-9) mm long, pale sulphur coloured. Style 2-4 mm long. Siliculae suborbicular to ovate, 5-8 mm long.
