General Appearance

Neslia paniculata (L.) Desv. / Infraspecific taxa: Neslia paniculata ssp. thracica (Velen.) Bornm. / Syn. Neslia apiculata Fisch, C.A.Mey. & Avé-Lall.,  it is an annual herb, up to 60 cm tall, erect, branched above ± roughly hairy. Basal leaves oblong-lanceolate, 3-10 x 1-2 cm, narrowed into a stalk. Cauline leaves 10-80 x 3·15 mm, oblong-lanceolate to linear, sagittate, sessile, amplexicaul. Flowers c. 4 mm across, yellow, on racemes elongating up to 30 cm in fruit. Pedicels up to 15 mm long in fruit. Siliculae sub spherical-lentiform, e. 2 mm in diameter, distinctly apiculate after the style has fallen, glabrous; valves reticulated, distinctly 1-veined. Seed c. 1.5 mm in diameter.
