General Appearance
Lepidium draba L. / Homotypic Synonyms: Cardaria draba (L.) Desv., it is a perennial, up to 20–60 (-80) cm tall, erect, branched from the base, usually pubescent. Lower leaves 3-10 x 1-4 cm, obovate-spathulate, stalked, sinuatc1y toothed to sub entire. Upper leaves 1-5 (-8) x 1-3 cm. oblong, lanceolate or ovate-oblong sessile, amplexicaul, dentate to entire. Flowers c. 5 mm across, white. Pedicels up to 10 mm long in fruits, filiform, spreading. Sepals c. 2 mm long. Petals about twice as long as the sepals, spathulate, apex emarginate. Stamens 6. c. 2:2.5 mm with very small anthers. Siliculae ovate, often obliquely ± cordate 4-5 x 3-4.5 mm, excluding c. 1.5 mm long style; valves glabrous, reticulately veined, ± keeled. Seeds c. 2 mm long, ovoid or ellipsoid.
