General Appearance

Draba verna L. / Homotypic Synonyms: Erophila verna (L.) DC., it is an annual herb, up to 3-10 (-25) cm tall. creel or sub erect, ± hairy below with short, branched, almost stellate or simple hairs, ± glabrous above. Rosette leaves very variable, entire to 1-2-dentate. Scapes aphyllous, rarely 1-leaved. Racemes 10-20-flowered, lax in fruit. Flowers c. 2.5 mm across. Pedicels up to 6 (-10) mm long in fruit, filiform, ascending, glabrous. Sepals 1.5-2 mm long. Petals 2.5-3.5 mm long, deeply 2-fid at the apex. Stamens c. 1.5-2 mm long. Siliculae (3-) 5-8 (-10) x (1.5-) 2-) (-4) mm glabrous, very variable in shape, oblong-elliptic to suborbicular; stigma minute, sessile; valves faintly veined. Seeds many, c. 0.5 mm long.
