Ononis pendula Desf.

General Appearance

Ononis pendula Desf., it is an annual herb, erect, up to 20-40 cm tall, variably glandular-hairy. Leaves 1-3-foliolate; leaflets obovate to suborbicular, dentate, rounded at apex, 10-18 mm. Peduncle 5-7 mm long, without an arista. 1-flowered. Flowers 12-18 mm long, pink, with corolla slightly to conspicuously exceeding the calyx. Pods 10-12 x 3-4 mm, pubescent, 8-12-seeded. Seeds c. 1 mm in diam., tuberculate.
