General Appearance

Euphorbia granulata Forssk., it is a small, hispidly villous (rarely glabrous), prostrate, perennating herb, often much branched from the base, with brittle (especially when dry), up to 20 cm long, somewhat yellowish branches. Leaves opposite, obliquely oblong-ovate to sub rounded, obtuse, entire or almost so, less than 1cm long; stipules c. 1mm, whitish. Cyathia very small, axillary and usually on short, leafy branches; borders of cyathia membranous, with pinkish or carmine coloured bases. Capsules c. 1 (-1.5) mm across; cocci rounded at the back and hirsute with patent hairs, sometimes glabrous. Seeds rugulose.
