General Appearance

Erucaria hispanica (L.) Druce, it is an annual or biennial, glabrous herb, erect stem, up to 50 cm. Leaves, green, petiolate, bipinnatisect, somewhat fleshy, 10-15 cm long; lobes linear to thread-like. Flowers in racemes of 30-40 flowers, without bracts; mauve flowers, 10 mm wide, pedicellate 1-2 mm. Sepals 5-7 mm x 1.2 mm. Petals obovate 11-13 mm. Stamens 7-9, 10 mm long. Silique 10-17 mm long, erect and pressed against the stem, longitudinally veined with leathery valves; 4-6 seeds.
