General Appearance

Nolletia chrysocomoides (Desf.) Cass. ex Less., it is a perennial, up to 15-30 cm. small, appressed-grey pubescent, bushy with a long, thick tap-root. Stems much branched; branches slender, erect or ascending, leafy, briute. Leaves 10-25 x 1-1.5 mm, linear, sessile, entire, obtuse, green; surface appressed pubescent. Capitula hemispherical, c. 10 mm in diam., solitary on the ends of branches. Involucre c. 6 mm. Involucral bracts linear-lanceolate, acuminate, appressed pubescent hairy, all deflexed in fruiting. Inner involucral bracts twice as long as or longer than the outer ones. Florets yellow. Cypsela c. 1 mm. scabrid-pubcrulent; pappus usually exceeding the corolla.
