General Appearance

Traganum nudatum Delile, it is a low shrub, divaricately branched, 20-50 cm long with whitish-glossy, glabrous or scabrous, stems. Leaves 5-10 x 1 mm, oblong-linear, fleshy, ± mucronate, slightly recurved, villous at axils, papillose. Flowers axillary, solitary, c. 4 mm long; bracteoles 2, longer than flower ± leaf-like. fleshy. Perianth-lobes erect, oblong-lanceolate, ± acuminate, 3-5 mm long in fruit, with rudimentary protuberances on back, anthers exerted. Seed horizontal, sub globose, 1 mm in diam, with membranous testa.
