General Appearance

Tourneuxia variifolia Coss., it is a small, sub acaulescent, ash-grey pubescent annual, with tufted leaves. Leaves narrowly linear to linear-oblong, entire or few sinuate-toothed to pinnatifid. Capitula solitary, terminal. Involucral bracts lanceolate, sharply acuminate, strongly woolly hairy. Ligules yellow, slightly exceeding or not from the involucre.

Endemic to Southern Sahara. The native range of this species is N. Africa to Mauritania.
