Narcissus obsoletus (Haw.) Spach
General Appearance
Narcissus obsoletus (Haw.) Spach / Heterotypic Synonyms: Narcissus elegans (Haw.) Spach, it is a perennial herb – geophyte. The ovoid bulb is 1-2.5 cm in diameter and is covered with a hard, dark brown scale. The leaves grow from the bulb, they are 2, linear, about 2 mm wide. The stems are 10-30 cm high, usually bear single flowers (exceptionally 2), growing from the axils of a 2 cm long membranous quiver; flowers are 6-merous; perianth forms a 1-2 cm long tube, its tips are lanceolate, 1-2 cm long and 4-8 mm wide, pointed, white, the circular panicle is yellow-orange, 1-1.5 mm wide; sticks are 6; the testicle is lower. The fruit is a spherical capsule.
