General Appearance
Launaea fragilis (Asso) Pau // Infraspecifics: Launaea fragilis ssp. fragilis / Heterotypic Synonyms: Launaea resedifolia (L.) Kuntze, Launaea fragilis ssp. tenuiloba (Boiss.) Zareh/ Homotypic Synonyms: Launaea tenuiloba (Boiss.) Kuntze it is a biennial or perennial herb, up to 40 cm tall, unarmed and glabrous. Stems erect and highly branched. Lower leaves deeply divided into narrow segments ending in a mucro; those of the upper half bract-like. Involucre up to 20 × 10 mm, with whitish scarious margins on the bracts, the outer ones much shorter. Ray flowers, yellow.
