General Appearance

Filago asterisciflora (Lam.) Sweet / Homotypic Synonyms: Evax asterisciflora (Lam.) Pers., it is an annual herb, stems up to 3-13 cm, rigid, simple or branched. Cauline leaves 12-25 x 4-5 mm, linear-oblong to oblanceolate-spathulate, sub opposite. Rosette-leaves 15-40 x 3-7 mm, oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, sub coriaceous. adpressed-hairy, c. 4 times as long as the cluster of capitula. Capitula numerous, in clusters 12-18 mm wide. Involueral bracts cuspidate or somewhat acuminate, with recurved arista c. 1 mm. Cypsela c, 1x 0.3 mm, narrowly obovoid, sparsely hairy, brown, emarginate at apex.
