Chlamydophora tridentata Ehrenb. ex Less., it is an annual 7-15 (-20) cm, glabrous, with many basal tillers and very leafy. Stems simple to few-branched. Leaves linear to oblong, somewhat fleshy, 15-30 x 1-3 mm; the lower usually 3-toothed near the apex; upper entire. Capitula long pedunculate. 5-8 (-10) mm in diam. Involucral bracts (2-) 3-3.5 x 1.5-2 mm, obovate-oblong, obtuse, broadly scarious margined. Corolla 1.5 mm, yellow tipped. Cypsela 1-1.5 mm, dark brown, glabrous, ribs whitish, the peripheral ones weakly incurved, rest fusiform; pappus 1.5-2 mm long on the posterior side, scarious, auriculiform, obliquely truncate and lobed.
