General Appearance

Chiliadenus glutinosus (L.) Fourr. / Homotypic Synonyms: Jasonia glutinosa (L.) DC., it is a perennial, sticky plant; thick, woody, knobbly rootstock. Stems 10-30 cm numerous, simple or branched, ascending, hairy. Leaves erect, sessile, narrowly oblong-lanceolate, very attenuate at both ends, entire, very acute, shortly pubescent-glandular. Capitula few in small loose corymbs. Flowers yellow, all tubular, about the length of the involucre. Involucre with linear bracts, the outer ones green and glandular on the back, the inner ones scarious, bearded at the apex. Achenes yellowish, very hispid, glandular at the apex; pappus reddish.
