General Appearance

Chiliadenus candicans (Delile) Brullo / Homotypic Synonyms: Varthemia candicans (Delile) Boiss, it is an aromatic, undershrubs, up to 50-60 cm, velvety pubescent, strongly, branches erect or diffuse, very leafy. Leaves linear-oblanceolate, obtuse, margins revolute. Lower leaves 30-40 mm long. The upper leaves smaller. Capitula 7-9 flowered, 3-5 at ends of branches. Involucral bracts few, erect, obtuse. The outer involucral bracts herbaceous, oblong. The inner involucral bracts ± scarious, linear.
