General Appearance
Chenopodium giganteum D.Don , it is an erect annual herb, like the Chenopodium album L., but plant robust, tall up to 1.5 m, the young shoots and young leaves suffused purplish pink, and with large rhombic-delloid leaves up to c. 14 cm long, and equally wide. The inflorescence consists of terminal panicles with hermaphrodite flowers, which are wind pollinated.The flowers contain 5 perianth leaves and 5 stamens. The seeds have a diameter of 1.5 mm.
