General Appearance

Caroxylon tetragonum (Delile) Moq. / Homotypic Synonyms: Salsola tetragona Delile, it is a subshrub and grows primarily in the desert or dry shrub land biome, plant white in appearance, with dense, soft silky hairs on leaves, all flowers similar, hermaphrodite, producing wings on the fruiting perianth, and stamens not exserted. Flowering perianth villous, including wings c. 8 mm across, pink or rclldish. Stamens 5. ± included, opposite the perianth, anthers smaller with small pollen grain.
