General Appearance

Atractylis prolifera Boiss., it is an annual herb, in general appearance like Atractylis serrata Pomel. from which it differs in having plants smaller and slenderer. The capitula both terminal and in forks of branches. Involucre not more than 10 mm in diam. Ray florets rosy and fwer in number. Disc florets yellowish. Involucral bracts with long, stiff and brown mucro, without any violet spots on the broad, searious margins near the apex.
