Asphodelus aestivus Brot.
General Appearance
Asphodelus aestivus Brot., it is a tuberous geophyte, are branched, up to 1.5 m, it has a rhizome surrounded by fibers, with fusiform tuberous roots, tubers slightly c. 13 x 3 cm. The bases of the rosette leaves covered with dense, splitting fribrous sheath, c. 10 cm long; filament bases broader from top with papilate margins, sometimes papillae present on the lower portions of the filaments also.
