General Appearance
Anthemis stiparum Pomel , it is an annual herb, Decumbent, pubescent or villous. Stems numerous, up to 10-20 cm long, simple or branched. Leaves 1-2-pinnatipartite, oblong in outline. greenish-grey; lobes distant, linear-oblong, entire to denticulate, acute with a hyaline mucro. Capitula 1.5-2.5 (-3) cm in diam., radiate, long pedunculate. Peduncle striate, slender, not or slightly clubbing below the capitulum in fruiting, Involucral bracts 2-4 rowed, median nerve herbaceous, hairy, broadly scarious margined; margins dark-brown; outer ones ovate-oblong, obtuse-acute; middle ones oblong. obtuse; inner ones obovate, oblong, obtuse. Palea obovate-linear, convex-carinate, scarious with mid-nerve somewhat coriaceous, obtuse, entire or erose- dentate, caducous in fruiting, ± equal to the length of the tubular floret. Marginal florets female, ligulate, white; tube laterally compressed, ± winged; ligule oblong, truncate, 3-toothed. Central florets tubular; corolla of marginal tubular florets in the lower half compressed. Cypsela with (5-) 7-10 ribs; ribs weak, weakly tuberculate; pappuson the disc floret cypsclas auriculate.
