General Appearance

Anthemis pseudocotula Boiss., it is an annual herb that can generally grow to 10 to 50 cm in height. The stem is erect or ascending, appressed, hairy, and branched from the base. The leaves are 1.5 to 3 cm long, oblong-lanceolate in outline, with 2 or 3 deeply lobed, lobes oblong-lanceolate, pointed, 1 to 3 mm long and 0.5 mm wide. The inflorescence is radial, and the inflorescence stalk thickens and becomes arched over time. The involucre is 0.5 to 0.75 cm wide. The phyllaries are ovate-rectangular, hairy, with dry, pointed edges. The receptacle is elongated conical, glabrous at the base, the palea narrowly linear, and present only in the upper part of the receptacle. The ligulates are approximately 12 in number, often sterile, and 3 to 7 mm long. The tubular flowers are 2.5 or 3 mm long and slightly swollen at the base. The capsules are persistent in the flower receptacle, top-shaped or inverted conical, approximately 1.25 mm long, distinctly ridged with 10 protrusions, with a curved tip, 10-lobed, and spongy..
