General Appearance

Anthemis maritima L., it is a perennial or subshrub, root furnished with long fibers. Stems 10-35 cm, prostrate or ascending, glabrous or pubescent at the apex. Leaves glabrous, somewhat thick, dotted with deep spots, pinnatipartite, with obtuse, lanceolate or cuneate lobes. Capitula with peduncles somewhat thickened at the apex. Receptacle with linear-oblong scales, abruptly cuspidate. Flowers tubular yellow, ligules white, elongated, oblong. Achenes very small (about 2 mm), whitish, smooth or very finely rugose, surmounted by an acute rim, toothed on one side.
