General Appearance
Andryala spartioides Pomel ex Batt. & Trab., it is a subwoody, much thickened and branched from the base perennial. Branches slendcr, stiff. with few, sparse, rush-like leaves and bearing 2-3 terminal, pedicellate capitula. Leaves very narrow, basal leaves sinuate-pinnatifid; the rest linear. subcntire to entire. Capitula small, involucral bracts with a mucro.
