General Appearance
Achillea arabica Kotschy/ Heterotypic Synonyms: Achillea biebersteinii Afanasiev, it is a perennial plant, up 25-60 cm tall. Stems striate, tomentose to glabrescent. Leaves, basal and lower cauline bipinnatisect, 3-10 × 1-3 cm, segments linear-lanceolate, acute; upper cauline leaves pinnatisect, smaller, sessile. Inflorescence & flowers; corymbs compact, 2-6 cm across, with 50-150 capitula; peduncles short (1-3 mm). Involucre 3-3.5 × 2-2.5 mm, oblong to obovoid, bracts hairy, narrowly scarious on margin. Ligules 4-6, white; disk florets 5-15. Fruit, achenes small, oblong, glabrous.
