General Appearance

Pluchea dioscoridis (L.) DC. / Homotypic Synonyms:  Conyza dioscoridis (L.) Desf., it is a small shrub that grows to about 1-2 meters tall. Branches viscid-glandular when young. Its leaves are soft to the touch, numerous, and have a scent that is met with mixed reactions. Capitula terminal, much-branched with dense glandular hairs on the branches. Flowers are white with a light purple. Camels graze on it, but sheep avoid it except when necessary or when it is dry.
