General Appearance
Crepis nigricans Viv. / Heterotypic Synonyms: Crepis senecioides ssp. nudiflora (Viv.) Alavi, it is an annual herb, general appearance like Crepis senecioides Delile. but dull-whitish setulose hispid. Basal leaves often early withering and wanting in flowering stage. Lower cauline leaves linear-lanceolate, amplexicaule, sinuate-toothed; teeth directed 01,11 wards; auricle toothed incised. Upper cauline leaves entire, linear, acute. Upper most cauline parts with bract-like leaves or without leaves. Peduncles and involucre dorsally long, black setulose and hispid. Outer involucral bracts 1̸2 as long as the inner, spreading. Corolla twice as long as the involucre, yellow. Cypsela e. 5 mm (include, beak): beakless or shortly beaked; pappus deciduous.
