General Appearance
Cladanthus mixtus (L.) Chevall. / Homotypic Synonyms: Chamaemelum mixtum (L.) All, it is an annual herb, fragrant, up to 10-40 cm tall, pubescent. Stems erect or ascending, branched. Leaves pinnatipartite, with entire or incised segments, decreasing towards the base. Capitula solitary at branch ends, conical receptacle with cartilaginous scales, hairy at the apex, lanceolate, acute, folded longitudinally. Involucre with appressed bracts, broadly scarious. Ray florets c. 12, white with yellow base or concolourous yellow. entire neuter; ligule 7-10 mm. palent, becoming reflexed at maturity. Disc corolla c. 2.25 mm; appendage 1.25 mm. Achenes very small, about 1 mm long, yellowish, with three very fine ribs on the inner face.
