General Appearance
Cladanthus arabicus Cass., it is an annual, aromatic herb with a relatively short, finely hairy basal part of the stem, branched into 2-6 whorls immediately below the capitulum, with a capitulum at the end of these branches and another possible branching. The stem leaves are alternate, but immediately below the capitulum the leaves grow in a whorl, they are 2-3 cm long, 1-2 times pinnate, the segments are linear, hairy. The capitulum is sessile, hemispherical. The involucral bracts are arranged in 2 rows, are oblong-ovate, 7-10 mm long, with a membranous appendage. The ligules of the sterile ligulate flowers are elliptical, yellow. The tubular flowers are bisexual, yellow. The fruit is an obovate achene; the fluff is missing.
