General Appearance

Ferula marmarica Asch. & Taub. , it is a perennial  plant, rootstock thick, often with fibers of dead leaves. Stem erect, thickened, glabrimous, narrowly striated. Leaves, 4-pinnatisect, below pale-green with entire or 3-fid obtuse, mucronate ultimate segments. Umbels of one large terminal and (3-) 8-10 small, lateral ones. Bracts and bracteole5 usually absent. Petals yellow. Fruits rounded-ovate with narrow margin, vittae; 3 (4), commissurals ± 6.
