General Appearance

Allium sardoum Moris / Heterotypic Synonyms: Allium negrianum Maire & Weiller it is a bulbous geophyte, the bulb is ovoid and 2 cm in diameter. The outer coat is membranous or leathery. The leaves are 2 to 4 in number, threadlike and 1 to 3 mm wide. Spata is 1 to 3 cm long. The inflorescence is oval to spherical, multi-flowered and 1 to 3 cm in diameter. The lengths of the stems are unequal. The flower cover is cylindrical. The flowers are whitish and do not have green or purple markings. Instead, green or pinkish stripes appear. The stamens protrude. Anthers are yellow or purple in color. The capsule is mostly 3 mm long.
