General Appearance

Atriplex turcomanica (Moq.) Boiss. / Heterotypic Synonyms: Atriplex leucoclada Boiss.. it is a woody shrub with dusty base. and grows primarily in the desert or dry shrub land biome, stems numerous, twisted, white, branched. Leaves alternate, ovate-triangular, narrowly base, rounded apex, smooth-edged or wavy, finely toothed. Flowers clustered in loose, almost leafless spike, sometimes forming branched panicles. Fruit pod sessile, with valves fused to the middle, rounded, three-lobed, pointed apex, smooth back.
