General Appearance

Amaranthus standleyanus Parodi ex Covas , it is an annual herbs; stems erect or decumbent, glabrous, pubescent toward inflorescence. Leaves petiolate; blade lanceolate, ovate or rounded-rhombic. Inflorescences mainly axillary, but also terminal. Pistillate flowers: sepals 5, spathulate. Fruit utricle, rugose.
