General Appearance

Amaranthus albus L., it is an annual plant up to 20-80 cm, glabrous, very branched in pyramid, with white stem as well as rigid branches, spreading or curved; small leaves, obovate or lanceolate, sometimes notched; pale green flowers, in small glomerules, often geminate, all axillary, leaves and spread even at the top; awl-shaped bracts, spinescent, exceeding the perianth with 3 awl-shaped sepals; 3 stamens; small fruit, very rough, shorter than the perianth, 5 opening crosswise.
